New Era Biochemic Remedies are homoeopathically prepared from safe, natural and non-habit forming ingredients. The remedies are based on Dr. Schuessler's Nutritional Biochemic System of Medicine. He postulated that inorganic matter - essential to health and, indeed to life itself - was comprised to twelve principal 'tissue salts' and that a deficiency or imbalance of any of these would create ill-health. He stated that when the deficiency was corrected the cells again functioned normally and health was restored.
The fundamental basis of the Biochemic System of Medicine is the twelve tissue salts which he isolated. The New Era range of biochemic remedies are moulded lactose-based tablets, homoeopathically prepared. The tablets are moulded (not compressed) so that they dissolve in the mouth and hence are absorbed quickly into the membranes of the mouth and tongue and so into the blood stream. They are therefore available to the body quickly. New Era Biochemic Remedies are extremely safe gently natural remedies. Apart from the very rare cases of those who suffer from lactose (milk sugar) intolerance, the normal dosage, or considerably over dosage, presents no risk or side effects. What is more, they do not mask the symptoms of ailments they cannot treat. They leave them alone so that sufferers know they must seek specific medical advice.

Ethical - To classify as ethical all of these products have had to meet Joshua’s own strict ethical criteria, meaning we consider them to be ethically produced.

Biodynamic - Biodynamic products are those that have been produced using biodynamic methods. More information on biodynamic agriculture .

Local - Local products have all been produced in Devon or within one hour of our store.

Wheat-Free - These products all claim they are wheat free on their packaging

Joshua’s - These products are all either Joshua’s branded, or made by our chef and his team here on site.
