Savoy Cabbage with Potatoes & Bacon
For a deliciously simple supper try savoy cabbage with potatoes and bacon.
Peel enough potatoes for two and parboil in salted water. Drain, allow to cool and sauté in a little butter with a thinly sliced red onion.
Add a packet of smoked bacon lardons or five or six chopped rashers of best quality smoked bacon and after three or four minutes, a small shredded Savoy cabbage.
Fry for ten minutes until the bacon is cooked, the potatoes start to brown and the cabbage softens.
Delicious on its own, serve with a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
