Sausages and Apples with Cider
Suasages and Apples with Cider
A mouth watering and simple seasonal supper. Simply peel and core two large, crisp dessert apples, Cox’s are ideal, slice into rings and sauté in butter in a frying pan until just soft.
Remove from the pan and fry a pound of best quality, traditional pork sausages until brown.
Add a few slivers of garlic, a sprig of fresh herbs, such as rosemary or sage then pour over about half a pint of delicious local cider. Why not try using Joshua’s own local cider available in our drinks department?
Simmer and reduce the liquid to a sauce.
Season and serve the ‘scrumpy’ sausages and sautéed apples with a sweet-potato mash and a peppery salad of watercress and rocket.
