Picnic Baskets
Joshua's Harvest Store sells a wide variety of baskets suitable for carrying your picnic. It is great fun to visit the store, choose your basket, fill it with tasty nibbles and set off on your walk. Or alternatively why not pick up a practical Joshua's jute cotton reusable bag?
Picnic Food
The secret of a successful picnic is to keep it simple. At Joshua's you can pick up a tasty homemade potato salad, coleslaw or cous cous salad along with a selection of pasties or slices of pies from our deli counter. Fruit and nut bars are practical and will provide you with an energy burst, or alternatively choose a tasty wrapped chocolate brownie or flapjack from Joshua's own bakery. We have a large variety of drinks from cans of organic lemonade or cola and sparkling cranberry or orange drinks to bottled water or 33cl bottles of Joshua's own apple juice or cider. You can also through into your basket a bag of vegetable crisps or a fruit and nut selection, and of course some delicious, healthy fresh fruit.
Local Walks
A walk by the River Otter
At Ottery St Mary the River Otter is joined by the Rive Tale and broadens into an impressive, and at times fast-flowing river, on its way to the sea at Budleigh Salterton. A footpath exists along the length of the river allowing you to walk all the way to Budleigh.
